Matt graduated from bible school in 1996 and met Heather in 1999 while they both worked full time at a church in Fort Worth, Tx. They were married in 2001 and began an epic journey together. 19 years later, they are the proud parents of six amazing children and are living their dream!
Heather began blogging in 2013 with the focus of reaching out to moms and families. In 2018, God opened the door for her to join the staff at Community Church. She quickly moved into a Directional Leader role overseeing the Children’s Ministry. In 2019, Matt left his corporate job to join Community Church as the Executive Director. While at Community Church, God began to strengthen their burden for impacting marriages and families. After much prayer and listening to God, they felt like God was leading them to step away from Community Church and focus on launching A Joyful Family as a full-time ministry.
With almost 20 years of marriage, Matt and Heather have had their share of struggles and triumphs. Their success in marriage and family ministry is based on their ability to openly share their journey with others and offer biblical insight into how couples can have the marriage and family that God has intended for them.
